The Devil’s Roast, nestled at 42 Renfield St in Glasgow, has captured the hearts and taste buds of many patrons. This charming coffee shop blends a romantic atmosphere with a cozy vibe, making it an ideal spot for casual meet-ups or introspective coffee breaks. Customers rave about the stunning decor, creating a moody ambiance perfect for morning escapades.
The coffee, while generally well-received, has seen mixed reviews, with some highlighting standout offerings like the Biscoff latte and London Fog. Pastries, especially the almond croissant and cinnamon roll, have garnered particular praise, described as landmarks of confectionary excellence. However, there are notes of inconsistency, such as the chocolate croissant loaf lacking the anticipated flakiness.

Patrons appreciate the level of care and attention, despite some minor hiccups like menu delays. The venue itself strikes a balance between chic and comfortable, with unique details like an opulent radiator and charming seating arrangements enhancing the overall experience.
If you find yourself in Glasgow, The Devil’s Roast is well worth the visit for coffee, pastries, and a glimpse of a delightful atmosphere that might just keep you coming back for more.

One of the prettiest cafes I’ve ever been to, with a moody and romantic vibe—even at 8am. The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The coffee was decent, but I was disappointed with my chocolate croissant loaf—it lacked the flakiness I was hoping for. Despite that, the service was great, which made the experience enjoyable overall.

A lovely cosy cafe with beautiful colours and a relaxed vibe. I had the London Fog, a beverage that can be hard to find! I also enjoyed an empire biscuit and a decaf oat latte. My first fog was a little on the colder side but they changed it for me with no fuss which was fab! Be sure to say you want your drink extra hot if like me you like your beverage to burn your face off. I never thought I’d say this but... on the way to the loo I saw the most opulent radiator I’ve ever seen in my life haha! And there’s a cosy corner with a decadent chair and mirror I thought was brilliant. Well worth a visit, you won’t regret it. As a haiku: Cosy cafe hues, A warm London Fog or two. Tasty treats for me.

Really beautiful venue, went with my friend for pastries and coffee, we both had the caramel apple danish and the maple cortado. They were both delicious. The staff were lovely and there was a lovely chilled atmosphere. I'll definitely visit again.

Glasgow is full of options for somewhere to stop and drink and spend time. The Devils Roast is definitely on the cooler cooler end of the spectrum of choice. It has been on my Radar for a while, and the quality of the producet blew me away! Whilst it has an unassuming exterior, its interior made me feel Fonzies cooler just by being there. The taste of the coffee and cake of the coffee and cake will stay with me for some time. I deducted a star from service as we sat some time without a menu and eventually had to ask for one. We were the only people that happened to. But it did impact my experience. The steps to the toilet at steep, which is always worth noting. Though even those felt cool. Enjoyed my visit - I can not wait to return

We loved this breakfast spot so much that we went twice while we were in Glasgow. The first day we went and got some coffees and pastries. We had a cinnamon roll, an almond croissant, a biscoff latte, and a regular latte. We had to go again before our flights home because my husband wanted another one of the "best croissants he's ever had in his life". Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a new, quaint coffee spot.

Great place for a pit stop - we only had hot drinks this round. Great oat cappuccino, smooth and creamy. My friend had a cortado that also looked quite nice. Nice quirky place to enjoy a coffee break or have a light bite. Would definitely stop again

Such a nice place! I love atmosphere in this place! Coffee tastes so good! I’ve been there for a couple of times , this time I decided to take some pastries, it was good, but it will be appreciated if it was possible to get it reheated! Service is good, only one thing I don’t understand clearly, is it table service or counter service, and where should we pay. But in general it was good!

We’ve just come back from Glasgow and the hotel we stayed at recommended this coffee shop across the road. This is a fantastic coffee shop (an old bank) close to the city centre of Glasgow on Renfield Street. They do an awesome almond mocha and their pastries are utterly delicious. The barista and manager are very welcoming and they really know their stuff about when it comes to coffee so I highly recommend a visit.
